Included with every booking
Every student who books a session gets access to our weekly newsletter covering work experience deadlines, UCAS key dates, and NHS news to keep you sharp for interviews. You also receive our Scottish Work Experience Directory, a free PDF guide to work experience programmes available across Scotland, from NHS placements to university-run schemes.
Who We Help
Your route into medicine shapes everything about your application. We work with school leavers, graduates, career changers and students from rural Scotland. We tailor our support to where you actually are, not a generic template.
Applying in S6? This is probably your first time going through a process like this, and it can feel overwhelming, especially when you're also sitting exams. We help you get organised, build a strong application and walk into interviews feeling ready.
Applying after a degree, whether that's a science, health related or completely unrelated subject, gives you a different perspective on medicine. That's a genuine advantage if you know how to use it. We help you build on what you already have rather than starting from zero.
Switching to medicine from a different career is one of the most common routes into Scottish medical schools, and one of the most misunderstood. Your professional background is not a problem to explain away. It is one of the most compelling things about your application if it is framed correctly.
If you're from the Highlands, the islands or a smaller Scottish community, you may have had fewer opportunities to build the kind of application that students in cities find easier to put together. That is not a reflection of your ability or your suitability for medicine. Several Scottish schools actively recognise rural backgrounds. We help you understand how to present yours, and which schools are most likely to value it.

Who's Behind MedPath Scotland
I'm Jake, a second-year medical student at the University of Dundee. Before medicine, I studied Biomedical Science here too, so I've been through both the undergraduate science route and the graduate entry pathway into medicine. I'm also Vice President of Medic Insight, a student-led society at Dundee that helps aspiring medics get involved in and explore the profession.
I started MedPath Scotland because I noticed something that kept bothering me. Most admissions support in the UK is aimed at English universities. Students applying to Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, or St Andrews are largely left to figure it out on their own, even though Scottish medical schools have their own entry requirements, timelines, and interview styles.
The application process is a lot. The UCAT takes real strategy to do well in. Personal statements are harder to write than most people expect. And if you don't have doctors in your family, or you're not near a city, it can genuinely feel like everyone else knows something you don't.
That's what MedPath Scotland is for. To make sure that wherever you're from in Scotland, you have access to the same quality of support and guidance.
Founding Students
MedPath Scotland is just getting started. We're looking for a small number of founding students to work with as we launch. In exchange, we ask for honest feedback once your application is done.
Founding students receive our full service at a reduced rate in recognition of being part of the early cohort.
The same tailored, Scottish medical school focused support that will be at the core of everything we do.
As a founding student you'll work directly with Jake throughout your application. No handoffs. No waiting.
We're keeping this intake intentionally small. If you're interested, get in touch below and we'll arrange a free call.
Book a session and you get access to our weekly newsletter plus our Scottish Work Experience Directory, a free PDF guide to NHS placements, university-run schemes and widening participation programmes across Scotland.
